This Sunday, the Düsseldorf Dragons were hosting their second children rugby tournament of the season. Although it was a long week-end, many children from Köln, Bonn, Aachen and Münster showed up to meet the Dragons on their own pitch and compete against each other.

The day was the theater of many tries, many tackles, many passes from all teams. A really good day of rugby for all the participants.

In the youngest group, it is the Rugby Tourists Münster that scored more tries and ended at the first place. Congratulations to them. The Dragons had two teams in this group and managed to get the second and third positions on four teams.

In the U10 group, two teams of Dragons competed and a third team included players from the visiting clubs. It is one of these Dragons teams that won the tournament in which all players played a really good level of rugby.

The U12 group was also the theater of hardly fought games. It was not clear from the start who would come out first from this group. In the final deciding game, the Dragons fought hard, transformed every opportunity into points and kept their cool and hard defense when the team of the RSV Köln came back in the second half. At the end, the Dragons won and reached the top position of their category.

Congratulations to all players who really showed talent on the pitch. Thank you to all visiting teams for showing up and giving all children the opportunity to play rugby. And thank you to all parents who supported the organisation of the tournament and made it another success.

We are looking forward to meeting all teams again in the next tournament.
