A great 7s Rugby tournament in Düsseldorf

On Saturday, the Düsseldorf Dragons hosted this season NRW sevens rugby tournament. Players from 7 clubs (RC Aachen, RC Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, RC Essen, RSV Köln, RT Münster, RC Paderborn and the Düsseldorf Dragons) formed 5 teams to compete in this fast version of Rugby.

All the teams put up a great fight during the 4 games they had to play. The many spectators who attended the tournament could witness some good rugby with fast moves and hard tackles and enjoy their time at the Dragons lair.

It is the players of Aachen who won this year NRW 7s tournament title, followed by the mixed team of RT Münster and RC Paderborn. The Düsseldorf Dragons managed to reach the third place of the tournament.

Each of these teams received a trophy during the trophy ceremony that took place with the presence of Franzi Frase, President of the Rugby-Verband Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V., Dirk Frase Vice president for Youth and Elite Sport and Michael Corbishley, Vice-President for Men's Sport.

All in all, this event was a great success and hopefully will be repeated next season.
