The long wait is over.

News_29_-_Intro

With the crisis we have faced this year, Rugby took a serious hit as a sport. Being a contact sport, it has been impossible to train and play during lockdown. For a few months now, we have been able to return to training, even with the strict guidelines and protocol.

These guidelines have recently changed and have allowed us to finally include full-contact in our training and play games, but due to the limited number of players allowed at the same time on the pitch and the potential risks that come with the sport, the National and Regional Rugby boards have decided to cancel the first part of the official season.

Based on the current Hygiene and Safety rules, the NRW Landesverband representatives have decided to organise a regional 10's Rugby Social Cup. This cup will allow our players to finally return back on to the pitch as a team.

The Düsseldorf Dragons will join this Social cup with two teams, hoping to give our players a chance to play and a reason to train.

Games will be advertised on our Internet site and Social media. We will keep you informed on the possibilities to welcome spectators for home games based on the Hygiene and Safety rules in place at the concerned dates.

We will keep in touch.
