The Düsseldorf Dragons celebrate Christmas!
Saturday 7th December, 18h00. The decoration is up. The Christmas tree is ready. The Christmas lights are on. The glasses of Sekt are served. The food from our sponsor (Les Halles Saint Honoré) is warm. Everything is ready to welcome the Düsseldorf Dragons, Dragonettes and their partners to celebrate Christmas.
The party started with a welcome drink. When everybody was there, Darren Furminger, our TuS Managing director started with a few words of introduction and then gave the floor to Thomas Lernout, TuS second chairman and Head of the Rugby department. After asking to have a minute of applause in the honour of Alexander Bender, a Düsseldorf Dragon player who recently passed away, our "president" took the opportunity to thank all the persons involved in the club activities and to announce the events programme for the coming second half of the season.
When everybody was satisfied with food, participants had to elect the best Christmas costume. It is our angel Kathy that won the contest and was offered a fantastic gift. After the auction of our lost and found, the music was set louder and everybody enjoyed the dance floor until late in the night. The most courageous decided to continue the party in the famous pub Mc Laughlins, also sponsor of the Dragons.
In the end, it can be said that the Dragons celebrated Christmas properly 😊. You can discover some of this event photos in our Gallery.
