Season’s start with the full team
Last weekend, the Dragons' women's team played their first tournament of the season at home. After the Corona two-year break, they were able to start with a full team thanks to the many new players.
In the first game against Hürth, the Dragons played strongly and won 12:10. The second game against Cologne was lost 0:34, but nobody was in a bad mood because they could finally apply what they had trained for. As second in the preliminary round, the team faced Frankfurt in the semi-finals. Here they did not make it easy for their opponents, but they still lost with a score of 5:27 and thus played in the small final against SG Marburg/Gießen. At the end of the day, despite their determination they unfortunately did not win that game and thus ended the tournament with a strong 4th place.
A special thanks goes to all the persons who supported the Dragons on and off the pitch - delicious chili after the game, great photos and much more. Another thank you also goes to Anna as the new division manager, without whom such a tournament would not have been possible.
Six new players made their debut on the pitch for and against the Dragons at this tournament: Carol, Paulina, Lisa, Emelie, Dalila, Daniella and Patricia. Until the next match day on the 9th October in Marburg, Elena will look after Dragonia, which she has received for her tackling work on the pitch.
