Our Samurai warrior finally found its place in the club house
In June 2016, we celebrated the 50th Jubilee of the Düsseldorf Dragons Rugby Club. Many players who did play for the Team in the past made the trip to Düsseldorf to enjoy some good time together and even play a friendly game. Some of these players came specially from Japan for this reunion and they brought a fantastic gift in their suitcase. A beautiful handmade and unique Samurai warrior.
Up to today, we considered that gift so precious that we could not find a suitable and safe place for it; so it was kept in our office where not so many persons had a chance to admire it.
That problem has been solved. Our Samurai is now displayed above our Dragon logo in the club house and every visitor will have the chance to admire this piece of art.
We take the chance to thank again our ex and current Japanese players who made the trip that day and who gave that beautiful gift to the club.
We are honoured to have had you as members of the Düsseldorf Dragons.
