Kids in action in Düsseldorf: the poor tackle bag

News-70-cover

Bright sunshine, dozens of kids, who wanted to try Rugby and a green tackle bag. Kids, parents and the coaches had a lot of fun, only the green tackle bag probably did regret coming to this event because he got knocked down A LOT.

As soon as the event started, the first kids ran to our Club tent and asked: "Can I play Rugby here?" and "Can I tackle that green thing over there?". Trainer Rodolphe and I rotated the whole day between Tackle and Pass training to teach the kids our beloved sport. And it worked!

Some kids begged their parents to stay and play Rugby. Others came back to our club tent all day long. And some very eagerly kids didn't stop asking until we organised a little game of touch close to the end of the event. Especially one boy (8 years old) really developed a strong love for tackling. He just didn't get tired at all and did run after run after run to hit the green tackle bag. And what shall I say: His technique was great, the tackles were low, the mother was happy because her son would be tired tonight and go to bed early and we coaches were just completely amazed. We didn't expect so many kids and so much passion and enthusiasm on our first kids in action participation.

Hopefully we will see the boy and many others in kids training on Saturday.
